To remedy a homeowner's recurring basement water issues, we tackled a challenging exterior foundation drainage project. During the excavation process alongside the house, our team hit a dense, stubborn subterranean shale bank that required pneumatic jackhammers to split and breach. Once a proper trench was successfully cleared through the stone, we applied a waterproof coating to the foundation wall, laid perforated drainage pipes, and backfilled the system with a thick layer of clean aggregate stone. The entire excavation zone was then filled back in and smoothly graded, leaving the property with an invisible, highly effective subsurface water management setup that ensures a bone-dry basement.
